In mysql server database information_schema contains dictionary tables with information about objects managed in the server. Of course you can use show tables to list current schema tables but if you need to know tables of a particular soma schema/s, just query TABLES by TABLE_SCHEMA. It 's similar to Oracle dictionary view dba_tables, etc.
